one year older, one year wiser

This is a long overdued entry. I have been trying to find time for this, and finally, today, it seems like a good time. I had wanted to get to it last night but my eyes were screaming for rest (though one of them is badly swollen by morning). Anyway, yes, one year older one week ago. This year's birthday seems to mark the coming together of friends both at home and abroad, colleagues and family so dear to me. Honestly, what more could I have asked for in life. I even felt that I have too much of good fortune to have so many people around me, wanting to make this day a special one. That was why I told buddy that I do not want too many birthday cakes! A simple get together is more than enough for me honestly... As I pen down these words, I still feel the overwhelming warmth from last week swelling inside me, bringing tears of joy and contentment to my already swollen eye.

What are the presents, one might ask. Yes, there are many this year. I had them photographed under poor lighting at 2am. Hence, they need some adjustment before you will get to see them here =p Somehow, people around me seem to know me really well! One could tell from the gift they got me. Yet I seem to be a person who likes every other nice things she sees. haha!

Anyway, a new year ahead for myself, and greedy me made a few wishes at my first birthday cake this year! Whether or not all of them com true, I hope it is a peaceful year with good health for everyone.
